TIMBERON WATER & SANITATION DISTRICT MINUTES FOR THE MEETING HELD ON JUNE 22, 2005 A meeting of the board of directors of the Timberon Water and Sanitation District was held on June 22, 2005 at 3:00 P.M., in the community center. Board members present were Tom Tannehill, Larry Hanson, Betty Phillips, and Sid Benson. Joan Schug was absent. Betty Phillips moved to sign the letter of binding commitment with New Mexico Finance Authority for $499,950. After Sid Benson seconded the motion it passed unanimously. A lease purchase for five golf carts was approved on Saturday but it was under a 2004/2005 Budget agenda item. Betty Phillips repeated her motion to authorize Bill Gideon to lease purchase five golf carts with a three year rollout. The motion passed unanimously. Pending litigation has been turned over to the insurance carrier. The board will wait to discuss it after an attorney has been assigned. Bill McCullough requested a change to the Rental Agreement for TWSD facilities. He asked that under item 2 the words “open membership” be removed. This change will directly affect the Masons. They will not have to pay a fee to use the community center as a civic group. Larry Hanson moved to strike “open membership” from item 2 and it passed after Larry Hanson, Sid Benson, and Betty Phillips voted in favor of the motion. Tom Tannehill abstained from voting. Director’s Remarks: Larry asked for a special session as soon as TWSD knows who their attorney will be for the pending lawsuit. The meeting was adjourned.
