TIMBERON WATER & SANITATION DISTRICT MINUTES FOR THE MEETING OF FEBRUARY 18, 2006 A regular meeting of the Timberon Water & Sanitation District Board of Directors was held on February 18, 2006 at 10:00 AM in the community center. Board members present were Joan Schug, Betty Phillips, Scott Millar, and Sid Benson. Tom Tannehill was absent. The agenda was approved. Bill Gideon presented the General Manager’s Report. Minutes of the January 18th, 21st, and 26th of 2006 meetings were read and approved. Betty Phillips read the Treasurer's Report for January of 2006. Old Business: Sid Benson moved to have Bill Gideon, Betty Phillips, and Joan Schug negotiate the employee contract with the union. Scott Millar seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. Bank signature cards were signed by Bill Gideon, Debbie Goss, Betty Phillips and Joan Schug. New Business: The Lodge Restaurant Lease is the same as last year. Sid Benson moved to renew the lease with Patricia Merrick. Betty Phillips seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. Bruce Larsen has been reading water meters for TWSD and doing an exceptional job. Sid Benson moved to renew the contract. Betty Phillips seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. A line extension request on Summer Drive was considered and read. Betty Phillips moved to approve a line extension for Shirley Mohon. Sid Benson seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. Committee Reports: Scott Millar, Gary Goss, Lil Devine, Donna Millar, and Barbara Troublefield will be on the 40 Year Water Plan Committee. They will meet in the next couple of weeks. Sid Benson will head a committee to set fees for the swimming pool and golf course for the next season. Joan Schug will head a committee to examine options for the golf course. Agenda Requests: Fran Trendler explained a memorandum of understanding between Timberon Development Council and T.W.S.D. to allow contractors to use the Lake 7 area for grinding slash which will be made available to T.W.S.D. and the public free of charge. After the completion of the grant, TDC will clean and reseed the area. Sid Benson moved to accept the Memorandum of Understanding between TDC and TWSD for the use of the tree thinning area. Director Remarks: Sid Benson and Joan Schug urged people wanting to volunteer for their committees to contact them. The meeting was adjourned.
